Gary Wayne Dulac, 66, Vero Beach

September 15, 1954 – January 09, 2021

Gary Wayne Dulac passed away Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at his home in Vero Beach at the age of 66.

Gary was born on September 15, 1954 in Hanover, NH. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna on August 17, 1974.

That’s when the adventure started. The two of them took off in their van and headed for warmer weather and found their forever home in the quaint town of Vero Beach. During his years in Vero, Gary and Donna had two children, Nicole and Zac and opened his business: his true passion of creating hand fabricated jewelry.

He was an award-winning Goldsmith, winning 4 AGTA Spectrum Awards, and had his work represented in “The Broadmoor Hotel,” in Colorado Springs, Co.

During the years Gary was usually found on a baseball, soccer, or football field coaching. When he was not on a field you could always find him in his front yard playing with all the neighborhood children.

One of Gary’s BIG dreams was owning a mountain home in Georgia. He accomplished that goal in 2010 and enjoyed many years sitting on his porch playing his guitar and cooking many gourmet meals for friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna (Decato) Dulac; son, Zachary and (Alison) Dulac of Vero Beach; daughter, Nicole and (Aaron) Martin of Vero Beach and two grandchildren, Tenley, his self-proclaimed love of his life, and Blaise Martin; brothers, Ron Dulac of Vero Beach and Greg Dulac of West Lebanon, NH; sister, Jill Dulac of Vero Beach; his mother, Anita Dulac of Vero Beach; and many nieces and one nephew.

Gary was predeceased by his brother, Rick Dulac and his father, Richard Dulac.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Central Assembly Church, Vero Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable contribution to the Vero Beach Museum of Art, 3001 Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963 Memo: In memory of Gary Dulac, for children’s programs www.vbmuseum.org

Robert F. Booth, 78, Vero Beach

August 12, 1942 – January 09, 2021

Robert (Bob) Forrest Booth, 78, of Vero Beach, FL, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Bob was born August 12, 1942, in Searcy, Arkansas, to the late Harvey D. Booth and Alma (Forrest) Jefferies. After attending Vero Beach High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy for ten years.

Bob attended Brevard Community College and shortly after began his career in the legal and title insurance industry. In 1976 he moved to Newark, Ohio, where he established, owned, and operated Midland Title Insurance Company for over 25 years and innovated the industry.

In 1977, he met his best friend Angela (Harper) Booth, whom he married on July 22, 1978. Together they raised four wonderful children.

After retiring in 1996, Bob and Angie moved to Vero Beach, Florida. They enjoyed spending time traveling around the United States and Europe and taking multiple cruises. Bob had an intense passion for golf, enjoying countless hours on the fairway with many great “golfing buddies” and his favorite partner, Angie. Bob also enjoyed fishing, sailing, singing, and playing guitar, gardening, metal detecting, a cold beer, and a good glass of wine.

Bob was a man of faith, compassion, and truth, who loved and was loved deeply. There is no greater legacy than that. Bob lived life on his terms, filling every minute of his days with activities he enjoyed and helping friends and neighbors, who lovingly referred to him as “The Mayor.” Bob’s quick wit, infectious smile, kind, and compassionate spirit will be missed by all who cherished time spent with him. Although we are completely heartbroken, we are thankful for the time we had with him.

Bob was preceded in death by brother-in-law ID Jones, sister Ann Clayton (Booth) Jones, and grandson Robbie Greaves. He is survived by his wife Angie; children Robert (Sally) Booth Jr., Troy (Dixie) Dunlap, George (Karen) Booth, and Bridget (Julian) Allen; nine grandchildren Brandi Booth, Brian (Amber) Hoskinson, Kristin (Eric) Miscuda, Ashley (Ben) Goodwin, Madeline McClinchie, Abby Booth, Natalie, and Lucy Allen; one great-granddaughter Crosley Hoskinson and a second great-grandchild due in January; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and Marilyn Krebs; nephews Ivan Jones, Jr. and Jason Staples; and niece Suzanne Thirkell.

Services will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation in Bob’s memory to First United Methodist Church of Vero Beach, The Salvation Army, or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Joan Wilmot Bain, 94, Vero Beach

January 28, 1926 – January 02, 2021

Joan Wilmot Bain died peacefully in her home in Vero Beach, FL on January 2, 2021 three weeks shy of her 95th birthday.

Joan is survived by her sons, Jim (wife Merry Lee) of Ocala, FL and Bob (wife Vesna) of Manhattan Beach, CA, and her brother Dr. Ben Wilmot of Falls Church, VA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by nearly everyone she knew but notably her beloved eldest son, Don, and her husband of over 60 years, Andrew.

Joan was born on January 28, 1926 in Waterbury, CT to Mary Puffer Wilmot and B. Dayton Wilmot. She proudly graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in 1948 with a degree in journalismShe married Andrew, also in 1948, with whom she fell in love in college. After moving to Indiana shortly thereafterJoan began working as a stay-at-home Mom. Over the next few years the couple welcomed three sons into their home and Joan set about the daunting task of teaching them how to be caring, well-mannered boys. Her boys (and their friends) remember her as a first-class mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and provided unbridled support for each of them.

Joan was a voracious reader. She could most often be found engrossed in a good book or visiting the local book stores searching for new things to read. She also loved to travel. When she couldn’t travel anymore, she traveled through the books she read. When her eyes failed and she couldn’t read anymore, she traveled in her mind and continued to do so until the day of her death. She particularly loved the British Isles and most especially England. Even in her last days, she was imagining herself in England and beyond. She was both clever and funny as well as gracious and kind. Her greatest desire in life was that her sons grow up to be kind and caring (and well mannered) young men. In her younger years, she was active in many local philanthropic and service organizations but maintained her focus on her husband, her boys, and their friends.

small service and Celebration of Life is planned for late spring of 2021 in West Lafayette, IN. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Macular Degeneration Research at BrightFocus Foundation, 22512 Gateway Center DriveClarksburg, MD 20871(or) Children’s Literacy Initiative at 990 Spring Garden St., Suite 400,Philadelphia, PA 19123The family would like to thank Joan’s caregivers, Steve, Tom, Shonnon, Nadine, and Kency for their loving care and dedication to both Joan and her constant canine companion, Onyx.
