SEBASTIAN — An 18-year-old man was jailed after police said he shot his older brother with a 9mm handgun following an overnight argument over a PlayStation gaming console. The brother, 20, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, officers said. Jalynn Joseph, of the 1100 block of Schumann Drive, Sebastian, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted juvenile delinquent, grand theft of a firearm and resisting arrest without violence. Joseph was held Thursday at the Indian River County Jail without bond. SEBASTIAN — There was no evidence of foul play in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a car at the Walmart parking lot over the weekend, police said. "After speaking with family and doctors, it was determined she passed away from natural causes," Sebastian police Lt. Rob Vafiades said. "The woman's family has been notified of her passing." Restaurant server uses food delivery apps to collect $7K in fake tips

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A restaurant employee was jailed Tuesday after deputies said she collected nearly $7,000 in tips she sent to herself from orders made through food delivery apps. The Hurricane Grill & Wings waitress used a tab in the eatery's computer system to add tips from Uber Eats and DoorDash orders. "The issue was that there was nobody leaving tips," Indian River County sheriff's officials said in the arrest report.
