Genealogical Society to present “Mayflower 400th”

The Indian River Genealogical Society will present “Mayflower 400th – The Voyage and First Year – A Perspective via Pilgrim Stephen Hopkins and Summary of Early Colonial Genealogical Resources” on Oct. 13.

The presentation will discuss the journey of the Mayflower and the first year at Plymouth in 1620-21 exploring the role Pilgrim Stephen Hopkins had in the survival and success of Plymouth Colony.

In addition, the presentation will discuss resources available for early colonial genealogical research focusing on the Great Migration to New England from 1620 to 1640.

Kurt Bressner will be the program speaker at our regular monthly meeting on Tuesday Oct. 13.

The program will start at 11 a.m. followed by a brief business meeting. The meeting is FREE and open to the public.

This meeting is virtual and pre-registration is required.
