Indian River County added 22 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, according to the Florida Department of Health dashboard. This raises the total number of county cases to 3,219.  The county’s cumulative death toll remained at 116.

As of Friday, 296 people in Indian River County had been hospitalized due to COVID-19, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations is cumulative, with five people still hospitalized due to COVID-19 in the county as of Friday.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 700,564. The number of deaths in Florida increased to 14,202.

Indian River County added 28 new COVID-19 cases Saturday and one new death, according to the Florida Department of Health dashboard. This raises the total number of county cases to 3,197 and the county’s cumulative death toll to 116.

As of Friday, 296 people in Indian River County had been hospitalized due to COVID-19, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations is cumulative, with five people still hospitalized due to COVID-19 in the county as of Friday.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 698,682. The number of deaths in Florida increased to 14,190.

Indian River County added 24 new COVID-19 cases Friday, according to the Florida Department of Health dashboard. This raises the total number of county cases to 3,169, while the death count remained at 115.

The new Indian River County cases can be found on the health department’s state linelist. Health officials said 59 out of the 115 deaths in Indian River County were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 296 total hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Indian River County, health officials said. The county cases and number of hospitalizations are both cumulative.

The new Indian River County deaths are:

  • An 85-year-old woman with no travel history and unknown contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 19.
  • An 88-year-old woman with no travel history and no known contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted Sept. 8.
  • An 81-year-old man with no travel history and no known contact with an infected person. The man’s case was counted Sept. 9.
