Health officials said 55 out of the 106 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There were six people still hospitalized from COVID-19 in the county as of Monday, health officials said.
For the Indian River County cases among residents, 1,521 were white, 373 were black, 336 were listed as “other” and 740 were listed as “unknown.”
There have been 33,201 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,990 testing positive and 30,193 testing negative, health officials said. The testing figures account for residents and non-residents.
Statewide, the number of cases increased to 665,730. The number of deaths in Florida increased to 12,798.

The new Indian River County death is:
- A 96-year-old woman with no travel history, but who had known contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted Aug. 23.
The new Indian River County cases can be found on the health department’s state linelist.
