Think you might have COVID-19?

Those who think they might have the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, can call Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital at 772-226-4846.

  • Hours of operation for appointments are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • The location for drive-thru testing was moved to the patient pavilion, located next to the hospital’s emergency department.
  • The pavilion, instead of the tent, is a more secure location for patients during hurricane season.
  • Those who meet the criteria for symptoms will be given an appointment at the patient pavilion.
  • You will be advised what to do next following the appointment.
  • Those who have chest pains, severe shortness of breath, dizziness, severe headaches, or other life-threatening problems should go to the nearest emergency department or call 911.
  • The hospital is located at 1000 36th Street, Vero Beach.
  • Those with questions or who want more information can also call the Florida Department of Health 24-hour hotline at 866-779-6121.

Only problem is that they test who they want. You have to meet their guidelines. They aren’t just testing because you think you might have it.
In these articles you need to have them tell you what guidelines make you eligible for them to test you. All these Dr offices are taking your temperature but what if you’re only a few days into the infection and don’t have the fever yet. They will refuse you immediately.
I had all of the symptoms except for the fever and they refused me.
And what happened to the testing results coming back within minutes? My son’s best friend went there to be tested with fever and all symptoms and it took 9 days to get the results. Well by then he had passed whatever he had. But what if it was COVID19 and he needed to be hospitalized and he didn’t know if he had it. Then he puts patients waiting in the ER at risk. Cleveland Clinic’s COVID19 testing needs to get their crap together.
They tell us to come get tested if you think you have it and with symptoms but then you tell them and they refuse you. What the hell is going on???

Please interview CLEVELAND CLINIC to tell us what they consider eligible for testing. As much as you write about how great they are at testing and making it sound like its easy to get tested by them. Print facts. Take a poll on how many people have been denied by “their” appointments be asked for.

****update*** son needed to be tested. Called on a Wednesday and told us the next available was the following Tuesday. For as many cases as IRC has “confirmed” I’d like to know how many Cleveland Clinic’s done since the “increase” of cases.
