Indian River County added 39 new positive COVID-19 cases Thursday, along with one new death, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 2,424 while the death count increased to 51. 

The new Indian River County death is:

  • An 85-year-old woman with no travel history and unknown contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 30.

The Indian River County cases can be found on the health department’s state linelist.

Health department officials released the names of long-term care facilities with COVID-19 cases. Officials also released the names of the facilities with COVID-19 deaths.

Health officials said 24 out of the 51 deaths in Indian River County were at long-term care facilities.

Health officials said a total of 181 residents and three non-residents in the county had been hospitalized due to the virus. The number of county cases and hospitalizations are both cumulative and do not represent the current number of positive cases being traced or the current number of people in the hospital.

As of Thursday, there were 26 people still hospitalized, health officials said.

For the Indian River County cases, 1,013 are white, 250 are black, 421 are Hispanic, 268 were listed as “other” and the remaining cases were listed as “unknown” regarding race or ethnicity.

There have been 26,303 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,424 testing positive and 23,863 testing negative. 

The daily positivity rate for Indian River County increased to 9.2 percent.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 510,389. The number of deaths statewide, including Florida residents and non-residents, increased to 7,871.

Indian River County added 16 new positive coronavirus cases Wednesday, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 2,385, while the death count remained at 50. 

The Indian River County cases can be found on the health department’s state linelist.

Health department officials released the names of long-term care facilities with COVID-19 cases. Officials also released the names of the facilities with COVID-19 deaths.

Health officials said 23 out of the 50 deaths in Indian River County were at long-term care facilities.

Health officials said a total of 178 residents and three non-residents in the county had been hospitalized due to the virus. The number of county cases and hospitalizations are both cumulative and do not represent the current number of positive cases being traced or the current number of people in the hospital.

As of Tuesday, there were 27 people still hospitalized, health officials said.

For the Indian River County cases, 1,003 are white, 241 are black, 415 are Hispanic, 252 were listed as “other” and the remaining cases were listed as “unknown” regarding race or ethnicity.

There have been 26,141 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,385 testing positive and 23,741 testing negative. 

The daily positivity rate for Indian River County remained at 9.1 percent.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 502,739. The number of deaths statewide, including Florida residents and non-residents, increased to 7,751.

Indian River County added 29 new positive coronavirus cases Tuesday, along with two new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 2,369, while the death count increased to 50.

The two new Indian River County deaths are:

  • A 78-year-old woman with no travel history, but who had known contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 13. 
  • A 94-year-old woman with no travel history, but who had known contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 19.

Health officials said 21 out of the 48 deaths in Indian River County were at long-term care facilities.

Health officials said a total of 165 residents and three non-residents in the county had been hospitalized due to the virus. The number of county cases and hospitalizations are both cumulative and do not represent the current number of positive cases being traced or the current number of people in the hospital.

As of Friday, there were 29 people still hospitalized, health officials said.

For the Indian River County cases, 976 are white, 232 are black, 404 are Hispanic, 250 were listed as “other” and the remaining cases were listed as “unknown” regarding race or ethnicity.

There have been 25,790 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,340 testing positive and 23,438 testing negative. 

The daily positivity rate for Indian River County increased to 9.1 percent.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 491,884. The number of deaths statewide, including Florida residents and non-residents, increased to 7,236.

Indian River County added 32 new positive coronavirus cases Sunday, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 2,302, while the death count remained at 48.

Health department officials released the names of long-term care facilities with COVID-19 cases. Officials also released the names of the facilities with COVID-19 deaths.

Health officials said 21 out of the 48 deaths in Indian River County were at long-term care facilities.

Health officials said a total of 163 residents and three non-residents in the county had been hospitalized due to the virus. The number of county cases and hospitalizations are both cumulative and do not represent the current number of positive cases being traced or the current number of people in the hospital.

As of Friday, there were 29 people still hospitalized, health officials said.

For the Indian River County cases, 952 are white, 223 are black, 401 are Hispanic, 249 were listed as “other” and the remaining cases were listed as “unknown” regarding race or ethnicity.

There have been 25,596 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 2,302 testing positive and 23,283 testing negative. There were no test results pending.

The daily positivity rate for Indian River County remained at 9.0 percent.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 487,132. The number of deaths statewide, including Florida residents and non-residents, increased to 7,206.

Indian River County added 66 new positive coronavirus cases Saturday, along with three new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health. This raises the total number of county cases to 2,270, while the death count increased to 48.

The three new Indian River County deaths are:

  • A 70-year-old man with no travel history and no known contact with an infected person. The man’s case was counted July 23. 
  • An 81-year-old man with no travel history and unknown contact with an infected person. The man’s case was counted July 25. 
  • A 98-year-old woman with no travel history and unknown contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted July 28.

The daily positivity rate for Indian River County increased to 9.0 percent.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 480,028. The number of deaths statewide, including Florida residents and non-residents, increased to 7,144.
