In Memory: May 28

Andrew William Cook, 32, Vero Beach

Andrew “Andy” William Cook, 32, of Vero Beach, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Cleveland Clinic – Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach.

Andy was born and raised in Baldwinsville, N.Y., and moved to Vero Beach five months ago from Atlanta, Ga.

He was a graduate of James Madison University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and had been employed by Sebastian River Farms.

Andy loved his recent move to the Treasure Coast.  It was here that he drew upon his love of nature through sightseeing, being on the beach, kayaking the nearby coastal waters, and playing golf.

Andy’s love and passion for his work on the tree farm was brought to life every time he spoke with his friends and neighbors.

Survivors include his parents, William and Marilyn Cook, of Vero Beach; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Mallory Cook; and their daughter, Marley, of Baldwinsville; paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Cook, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and Andy’s beloved dog Scoop.

Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue shelter of one’s choice.
