In Memory: April 4-7

Patricia J. Folsom, 65, Sebastian

On Sunday, March 29, 2020, Patricia J. Folsom, 65, was called home to be with her lord. She passed due to an unexpected heart attack.

Patricia was born in Baltimore, Md., on May 6, 1954. At the age of 2 she was adopted by her loving parents, the late Joseph and Mary Jane.

Due to her father serving in the United Stated Air Force, Patricia spent her very early years moving around Florida with her family. They settled just south of Patrick Air Force Base, where Patricia spent most of her youth by the beach. She attended Satellite Beach High School and went on to graduate from The University of Central Florida with a bachelors degree in Marine Biology.

She married Benjamin Folsom III, and together they had two children. After Ben’s passing and the raising of her children, Patricia continued on to become a CNA.

She truly cherished her position of helping others, specializing in senior care. Patricia had a special place in her heart for people and kept in contact with many of her clients after retirement.

In retirement, Patricia moved to Sebastian to be with her daughter. Falling in love with Sebastian, Patricia was a member of the Sebastian Garden Club, attended City Hall meetings, and worked the political polls.

Patricia is survived by her two children, Nathan Allen Folsom, and Rachel Anne Folsom, but if she could she would have been a mother to all who needed her. She was always there to listen and give a hug.

Patricia was a friend of nature, an avid gardener, a godly woman and one of the kindest souls with one of the brightest smiles. She loved reading and writing, including blogging, prayers, nature and helping people.

Her friends were more like family and she forged strong bonds everywhere she went. Patricia was a morning person, her favorite time of day was sunrise, when the air was still cool.

Unfortunately, due to this time of crisis, we are not sure when it will be safe to gather in her honor. There will be a celebration of life, and we will update time and place accordingly.

Being as though we are not able to immediately gather, her family would like to share her favorite songs so you may remember her at home.

* Come Labor On

* In Christ Alone

* How Great Thou Art

* Amazing Grace
