Gerald P. Dolan, 78, Sebastian
Gerald P. Dolan, 78, of Sebastian, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020. Gerald was born June 17, 1941, in Bethesda, Md., to John and Essie Dolan.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, children and all who knew him.
Following his wishes there will be no services.
Terry R. Wells, 74, Vero Beach
Terry R. Wells, 74, of Vero Beach, formerly of Sauquoit, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2020, after a brief but valiant battle with lung cancer. Terry was born in Frankfort, N.Y. on Feb. 11, 1945, the son of the late Albert and Marie (nee Rebeaud) Wells.
In his youth, he worked as a newspaper delivery boy in his neighborhood and was also involved in the Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout as a teenager.
He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1963, and continued on to receive a B.S. in Physics from the State University of New York, Oswego. While studying in Oswego, he worked at Fallbrook Farm, a horse stable on campus, and built lifelong friendships with the people he met there.
After graduating, he was employed by GE (later Lockheed Martin) and built a career as a software developer and aerospace engineer.
On Oct. 8, 1977, Terry was united in marriage to Kathleen M. Grestl at Historic Old St. John’s Church, Utica, N.Y., a blessed union of 42 years.
He loved and cherished the time he spent with his wife and children. He enjoyed golf, tennis, traveling with family and friends, and being a good neighbor.
He was also a dedicated blood and apheresis donor.
He will be remembered for his wit, his work ethic, and his selflessness.
Terry is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son, John (Sara), of New Milford, Ct.; daughters, Mary, of Washington, D.C., and Anne Marie, of Vero Beach; his brother, Keith (Barbara), of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; in-laws, Pauline (Charles) Read, of Vero Beach; his two nieces, Christine Wells (husband, Craig Skene), of Woodbury, Ct., and Kimberly Wells, of Shelton, Ct.; and many close friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Feb. 12, 3-6 p.m. at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, with Father Daniel Murphy officiating.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
At the family’s request, please omit floral offerings.
