Leona Louise Locke, 91, Vero Beach

Leona Louise Locke, 91, of Vero Beach, died Feb. 3, 2020. She was born in Glenwood, Ga., and lived in Vero Beach for the past 46 years.

Leona had been a seamstress, baker, waitress and retired as an aircraft assembler for 12 years with Piper Aircraft.

She loved to sew, but most of all loved being with and caring for her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Eunice Kay Guide (Frank), of Vero Beach; sons, Quintis Harmon Fountain, Jr., of Vero Beach, Wendell Steven Fountain (Denise), of Fort Pierce, Kevin Paul Fountain, of Newton, N. Ca., and John Henry Locke, Jr. (Brenda), of Fellsmere; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Frances Hazellief (Allen), of Okeechobee, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Locke, Sr.; and former husband, Quintis Fountain, Sr.; son, Ronald James Fountain; daughter, Brenda Louise Milton; two brothers, James and Junior Farmer; and four sisters, Jane Fountain, Virginia Boyd, Erma Fountain and Naomi Hare.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in loving memory of Leona Locke.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, with Minister Todd Thomas, Officiant.
