Boil-water notice issued for Dodgertown Elementary

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An underground line break led authorities to issue a boil-water notice Monday for a local elementary school.

The water line broke sometime over the holiday break at Dodgertown Elementary School, 4350 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, school officials said. It was unclear how long the boil-water notice will last.

Bottled water was delivered to the campus Monday morning.

Monday, the Florida Department of Health in Indian River County conducted water sample tests at the school, officials said. Health workers will continue to undergo water sampling on Tuesday.

When water sampling tests are finished, school district officials will send out an email with the results.
