Local artist Chris Sweeney partners with the MHA for newest mural project

Local artist Chris Sweeney is raising money to complete his newest mural project in partnership with the Mental Health Association in Indian River County, the “Løve Oneself” Sea Turtle Mural.

Chris Sweeney is known for his murals with the common theme of “love” but this turtle is particularly special to him.

Sweeney said, “I chose to use the sea turtle as my focus because the turtle is a symbol that signifies good health and a long life, also Vero Beach and the Treasure Coast are known for our sea turtles. Not to mention (the Mental Health Association is also re-releasing their turtles this year that you can find beautifully painted all over Vero Beach).”

Christopher Sweeney has created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the supplies and time necessary to complete the project. He will also be donating some of the proceeds back to the MHA along with already donating his time and talent to create the mural.
