IRSC selects presidential search consulting firm AGB

The Indian River State College (IRSC) District Board of Trustees has selected executive search firm, AGB Search, to assist in recruiting and selecting the College’s next president. The announcement was made at a special meeting of the Trustees.

AGB Search, an affiliate of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, is a national firm focused exclusively on higher education searches. The firm has conducted hundreds of successful searches ranging from small private colleges to large public institutions and systems. Their principals and consultants have served in leadership positions at higher education institutions.

“AGB offers the expertise, networks and consultative support needed to identify the strongest possible applicants for our 4th president,” says IRSC Search Committee Chair and Trustee Vicki Davis. “They are the most qualified to work with the Committee in identifying candidates who can best lead IRSC into the future.”

Comprised of the IRSC District Board of Trustees, IRSC Foundation Board Members, community members, and IRSC Faculty, Staff, Administration and student representatives, the IRSC Presidential Search Committee will work with AGB to perform a variety of activities that ultimately lead to the recommendation of a final pool of candidates to the District Board of Trustees. Search Committee membership is expected to be finalized before the end of December. Presidential Search Committee activities will commence in the New Year.
