VERO BEACH — The Indian River County Democratic Executive Committee and the Democratic Club of Indian River joined together on Tuesday, Dec. 10, for their combined Democrats of Indian River Holiday Party. The two groups collected toys for the Toys for Tots Program – their annual gift giving drive – and gift cards for teens participating in the Fellsmere Action Community Team (FACT) Holiday Giveaway for Teens in Fellsmere on Dec. 19.
The Florida Irish America Society was teeming with party-goers who combined their altruism with the spirit of the season: eating, drinking, visiting, and rocking to the sounds of the band, “Friends and Neighbors.”
“Tonight, you are seeing committed Democrats from across the county who want to celebrate our accomplishments, help our working families have a holiday that puts smiles on their children’s faces, and re-energize ourselves as we work to get out the vote and elect Democrats to office in 2020,” said Democratic Chair Adriana de Kanter. “We welcome fellow Democrats and others who support our efforts to increase voter participation in our upcoming elections.”
