Genealogical Society presents discussion on saving, sharing research

The Indian River Genealogical Society is pleased to announce Mary Foxworthy, as the program speaker at our regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14, held at the Indian River County Main Library, 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach.  The business meeting convenes at 10 a.m., followed by light refreshments and the program.  The meeting is free and open to the public.

Indian River Genealogical Society member Mary Foxworthy began her genealogy quest in 1999. There are no Revolutionary War or Civil War heroes because her immigrant ancestors arrived from Poland in the 1880’s. Her journey has led her to search Polish archives and study Polish history to gain an understanding of the times in which her ancestors lived. Mary has been an active member of IRGS for a number of years. She is a former Board member and the former Chairperson of the Education Committee.
