The Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation wanted to assist with this unique effort. By funding the purchase of a 36-passenger pontoon boat, Discovery, FAU Harbor Branch can now have the flexibility to run even more tours and the opportunity to engage even more people each year.
This expansion will broaden the reach and benefit the mission, increasing the presence and accessibility of FAU Harbor Branch’s science through public programs that highlight the significant role the Institute plays in promoting a healthy environment.

During this 1.5 hour excursion, an FAU Harbor Branch scientist will discuss the wildlife encountered as well as the research the institute conducts to better understand and protect the Indian River Lagoon ecosystem.
