Thomas Wheeler Agee, Jr., 82, Vero Beach

Thomas Wheeler Agee, Jr., 82, of Vero Beach, passed away Oct. 31, 2019.

Thomas had worked with CVS Pharmacy of Birmingham, Ala., for 27 years prior to his retirement.

Robert Hinkle, 86, Vero Beach

Loving husband and father, Robert “Bob” Hinkle, 86, of Vero Beach, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. Bob was born in Weatherly, Pa., on March 4, 1933.

He worked for many years in Pennsylvania with his brothers at Hinkle Roofing. In 1971, he relocated with his wife and family to Roseland, Fla., to work at Shiloh Youth Ranch. In 1979, he and his wife moved to Vero Beach, where he was self-employed until his retirement from Vero Beach Laundry and Cleaners in 2009.

He was a long-time member and elder at Grace Baptist Church of Vero Beach. Bob came to faith in Jesus Christ in 1956 and lived the remainder of his life for Christ and the advancement of the Gospel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joanna (nee Glance). They were married at Emmanuel’s Reform Church in Hazleton, Pa., on Sept. 13, 1952.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his five sons, Robert Jr., of Katy, Texas; Timothy (wife, Tina), of Vero Beach; Daniel (wife, Rhonda), of Dana, N.C.; Philip (wife, Teresa), of Mineral Bluff, Ga.; and George (wife, Dena), of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; his siblings, Henry, of Weatherly, Pa., and James, of Roseland, Fla., and Ruth, of Weatherly, Pa.; 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Bob is predeceased by his parents William and Lydia (nee Henry); brothers, Donald, William, Harold, Herman, Paul; sister, Dorothy; daughter-in-law, Young; and grandson, Dalton.
The family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Grace Baptist Church, 1285 43rd Ave., Vero Beach. Burial will follow immediately at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Because of his love and dedication to the church, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be given to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 1285 43rd Ave., Vero Beach, Florida, 32960.

 

William Bass Hunter, 83, Vero Beach

William Bass Hunter, 83, of Vero Beach, died Nov. 3, 2019, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. William was born in Taylor County, Fla., and lived in Vero Beach for 61 years coming from Chiefland, Fla.

He was in the citrus industry with Indian River Exchange Packers for more than 60 years.

William was a member of King’s Baptist Church, Vero Beach.

Survivors include wife of 61 years, Betty; daughter Loma (husband, Bud) Spencer, of Vero Beach; son, Bill (wife, Terri) Hunter, of Ballinger, Texas; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to King’s Baptist Church, 3235 58th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32966 in memory of William Bass Hunter.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to Noon, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A funeral service will begin at Noon with Rev. Frank Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Winter Beach Cemetery, Winter Beach, Fla.

Lynne Ellen Paré, 66, Vero Beach

Lynne Ellen (nee Turton) Paré, 66, of Vero Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 4, 2019.

Lynne was born and raised in Lawrence, Mass., where she raised her family. She worked as a nursing supervisor at Sutton Hill Center in North Andover, Mass., before retiring to Florida.

Lynne enjoyed spending time with her family, helping others, sewing, taking golf cart rides, and chatting with friends.

Lynne will be remembered for her kind heart, her strong work ethic, and being the best friend anyone could ask for. Throughout her life she was a pillar of strength and support for those around her in both her personal and professional life.

Lynne provided the kind of TLC that got others through their own difficult times. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, especially her family.

She leaves behind her heartbroken husband, Kevin; and their children, Brett Paré (wife, Greta), Brynn Rowe (husband, Graham), and Briar Paré; and her pride and joy grandchildren, Alexis Paré and Kieran Rowe; and her brother, Mark Turton (wife, Peggy).

Lynne was pre-deceased by her daughter, Brailey Paré; and her parents, Miriam and Walter Turton.
Services will be private.
