“He should have gone bowling (instead),” Indian River County sheriff’s deputies said of the arrest. Deputies arrested Johnny Truman on a charge of grand theft auto, sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers said.

Truman’s booking information was not immediately available.

Badcock Home Furniture & more employees called law enforcement about 2:30 p.m. Saturday after they went outside and noticed the company truck was missing. The store is located at 1601 U.S. 1, Vero Beach.

Patrol deputies spotted the furniture truck in Gifford and pulled the vehicle over, officials said. It was unknown if furniture was inside the truck at the time of the theft.

Truman was arrested and taken to the county jail.
