Shoplift suspects sought

Two females walked into the Old Navy in Tradition earlier this month and walked out with nearly $200 worth of polo shirts and pants, Port St. Lucie police said. The agency is now seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

The theft occurred on July 2 shortly after 2 p.m. It was reported less than three hours later. According to police, the females entered the store, selected more than 22 uniform polo shirts and pants and the concealed the items in an Old Navy mesh bag before walking out of the store.

The manager told police that she followed the suspects into the parking lot and saw them get into a possibly black Chevy Malibu sedan.

Police did not provide an approximate age of the suspects, identifying them only as female. Both are described as black, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall.

One suspect weighs approximately 175-200 pounds and has short hair that was tucked in with a headband. She was wearing a black Nike “Just Do It” T-shirt, black shorts, and white socks with flip flops. She was carrying a brown shoulder bag.

The other suspect weighs 180-220 pounds and had her black hair pulled into a bun. She was wearing a black floral maxi dress and cardigan, black and white striped Nike slides, and was carrying a large, pink handbag.
