Man finds graffiti, insults spray painted on car; 2 women charged

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two women – including a former McDonald’s employee – were arrested Tuesday after deputies said they spray painted insults on a man’s car.

The women, both 19 years old, wrote the words, “(expletive) you” and “sexual predator” in large blue letters using the spray paint, reports show. Deputies said the women also drew an image of a penis on the vehicle.

Deputies said the cost to remove the paint from the man’s vehicle would be more than $1,000.

Deputies arrested Meaghan Davis, of the 1500 block of 20th Court, and Alexis Notarangelo, of the 4600 block of 13th Place, each on charges of criminal mischief.

Notarangelo was released Wednesday from the Indian River County Jail on $3,500 bond, jail records show. Davis was held Wednesday at the jail on the same bond amount.

The man – a McDonald’s worker – called deputies about 3 a.m. Tuesday after finding his Toyota Corolla spray painted with insults, reports show. The incident happened in the restaurant parking lot in the 700 block of U.S. 1.

The man told deputies a former disgruntled employee, Davis, might be the culprit, reports show.

Deputies reviewed security footage, which showed two vehicles pull up on both sides of the man’s car. One woman got out of each vehicle and both began to spray paint the man’s Toyota, reports show.

Notarangelo, who was at Davis’ home, also admitted to spray painting the man’s car, reports show.

Deputies arrested the women and took them to the county jail. Davis and Notarangelo both have arraignments at 8:45 a.m. August 2, court records show.
