Indian Harbour Beach City Council member Gene Newberry has announced his resignation effective May 31 after serving on the council for nearly 20 years.
The council will replace Newberry by appointment from candidates who are to submit resumes with cover letters to City Clerk Sue Frank by June 14.
Interviews will determine the appointment to the non-paid position.
