Deputies said Briana Scott sent the image to other users on Snapchat, a social media app. Scott sent a message through the account saying that more nude photos would be posted, records show.

Deputies arrested Scott, of Port St. Lucie, on a charge of offense against computer users, court records show. Scott was released Tuesday from the Indian River County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Deputies spoke with the victim May 3 in the 4500 block of 40th Avenue. The victim told deputies Scott came to her home the day before to pick up some of her belongings.

Scott yanked the victim’s phone from her before leaving the residence, records show. Scott changed the victim’s social media account passwords, her banking login information and cancelled her debit card, deputies said.

The victim said Scott hacked into her account on Snapchat. A friend contacted the victim and said the account posted a picture of the victim’s privates, records show.

The victim told deputies she knew the image was of her because she had the picture stored in her phone. The victim was able to get a recording of the image posted to Snapchat and showed it to deputies.

Deputies said Scott created a video message through Snapchat where she admitted to the act.

Monday, deputies arrested Scott and took her to the county jail. Scott has an arraignment at 8:45 a.m. July 3, court records show.
