Man wounded in head by pellet in drive-by

Weeks after a man was injured during a drive-by shooting involving a BB gun, the Port St. Lucie Police Department is asking for the public’s help.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:49 p.m. on April 22 in the 800 block of SE Carnival Avenue in the Riverview neighborhood.

Police responded to the scene, where the victim had been shot in the head with a BB or pellet while inside his home. The victim described to investigators that a passenger in the drive-by suspect vehicle was the one to fire an unknown Airsoft-style weapon from the passenger window, striking the victim.

The vehicle then fled the area, traveling west on SE Carnival Avenue, surveillance footage shows. The suspected shooter is described as possibly being a dark-skinned male with dark hair.

The suspect vehicle appears to be a 2004-2009 silver Nissan Quest mini-van with 6-spoke hubcaps.
