Motorcyclist seriously hurt in two-vehicle crash

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon, fire rescue crews said.

The two-vehicle crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday at Old Dixie Highway and Oslo Road, Indian River County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Kyle Kofke said. The motorcyclist, a man, was being taken by ambulance to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with serious injuries.

It was not immediately clear if more people were hurt. Florida Highway Patrol will investigate the cause of the wreck.
