Motorcyclist seriously hurt in two-vehicle crash Sunday

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon, fire rescue crews said.

The collision involving a motorcycle and truck happened about 4:30 p.m. Sunday on County Road 512 near Stony Point Drive, Indian River County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Kyle Kofke said. The motorcycle driver, a man, was taken by ambulance to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne with serious injuries.

The truck driver was not hurt, Kofke said. It was not immediately clear if any roads were closed from the wreck. The Florida Highway Patrol was investigating the case of the crash.
