Juan A. Chaves, 75, Vero Beach

Juan A. Chaves, 75, of Vero Beach, passed away Dec. 9, 2018.

Mr. Chaves served in the United States Army and later retired in 2003 from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon, Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2085 Tallahassee Ave., Vero Beach.

 

Joseph R. Hall, Jr., 89, Sebastian

Joseph R. Hall, Jr., 89, passed away at his home in Sebastian, on Dec. 9, 2018. Joseph was born on Feb. 14, 1929, in Mattoon, Ill., to the late Joseph and Elsie Hall.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery Hall; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Eloise Chadwick.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris B. Eutsler; and two daughters, Beverly Peek and Sheryl Patarino.

Joe was a nationally recognized professional archer.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends will honor Joseph’s life by gathering for a visitation at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming St., Sebastian, on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 11 a.m. to Noon.A Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Winter Beach Cemetery, Winter Beach.

 

Frances Mary Rowe, 75, Vero Beach

Frances Mary Rowe, 75, of Vero Beach, formerly of Yonkers, N.Y., New York City, East Sullivan, Maine, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, was born March 17, 1943, and passed away on Dec. 8, 2018.

Frances was a loving sister, a wonderful friend, and a generous teacher. She will be missed by the hundreds of people she affected so positively.

Fran is survived by her brother, David Rowe; and her sister, Susan Rowe (husband, Ib Rasmussen); and her sister-in-law, Theresa Rowe; her incredible, loving nieces and nephew, Alison Rowe Salerno, Amy Rowe-Smith, Christopher Rowe, and Alyssa Rowe-Chase.

Her brothers, Donald and William passed away in January 2017 and August 2018, respectively.
