Bridge loans available for red tide-affected businesses

 To assist with the economic damages experienced from the Red Tide, businesses located in Indian River County and throughout the Treasure Coast are eligible to apply to the state’s Bridge Loan program.

The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a series of free Bridge Loan workshops the week of Nov. 12 for ALL business owners, to answer questions and assist them in completing their loan applications. All workshops will be held in the Chamber’s conference room, 1216 21st St., downtown Vero Beach. The workshops are scheduled as follows:

Mon, Nov 12 – 8:30-9:30a

Tues, Nov 13 – 8:30-9:30a and 5-6p

Wed, Nov 14 – noon-1p

Thurs, Nov 15 – 5-6p

Fri, Nov. 16 – 8:30-9:30a

The interest-free loans, up to $50,000 per eligible small business, are available for a term of up to 180 days. Only one loan may be made per eligible business. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Indian River St. College is coordinating completed applications from Treasure Coast businesses.
