GIFFORD — The holiday season may have gotten more joyful for one Florida Lottery patron who recently purchased a winning ticket worth more than $150,000. The Shell Food Mart, located inside the Shell gas station at 53rd Street and U.S. 1, Gifford, sold the winning Fantasy 5 ticket for Saturday's drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers for the evening draw were 06-22-27-29-36. The winner will receive the grand prize of $150,908, lottery officials said. It was unclear if the winner had already claimed the prize.

Winning $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Indian River County

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was recently sold at a local gas station for Wednesday's drawing in a game that drew national attention for its $1 billion payout, Florida Lottery officials said. The numbers for the quick pick ticket were 07-10-11-13-24, officials said. The winning ticket was sold at the Amoco gas station on State Road 60, just east of Interstate 95. The local ticket holder was among four people statewide to win the Powerball lottery. Each winner will receive the $1 million prize, officials said. It was unclear if the local winner had already claimed their prize. A player in California won the Powerball jackpot prize of $1 billion, officials said.
