Main Street Vero to host Hector Cruz in September

VERO BEACH — Main Street Vero Beach is proud to host Hector Cruz as the September Artist of the month. His show will open Friday, Sept. 7, with a reception during the First Friday Gallery Stroll 5-8 p.m.

Hector was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in 1954. He has shown propensity towards artistic talent since childhood. He was first recognized as having a promising future in art while a student in high school where he won the first of many awards for his work.

Hector has been a member of the Vero Beach Art Club for a number of years and continue to display his work in many community venues and has entries in Main Streets Hibiscus Festival as well as “Art by the Sea” and most of all at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.

Stop by to meet the artist at the reception or see his work weekdays between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Main Street is a program that focuses on preservation- based economic development.
