Rose-Marie Anderson, 92, of Vero Beach, passed away July 12, 2018, at her home.
In 1994, she and her husband established the Anderson Foundation primarily to support efforts to improve K-12 education in America. Since that time they devoted considerable time and effort in pursuing that goal.
There will be a visitation held 12:30 – 1 p.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 500 Iris Lane, Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Silvio Lattanzio, 96, Vero Beach
Silvio “Sam” Lattanzio, 96, of Vero Beach, passed away July 9, 2018, at Indian River Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 17, 1921, in Monessen, Pa.
Sam proudly served in the Coast Guard abroad in the USS Wakefield, AP-21 (ex-SS Manhattan) during WW II.
Sam moved to Florida in 1972, worked as an electric utility supervisor for many years and chose to retire in the Vero Beach area.
He is survived by his niece, Diane McCracken.
Sam will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his longtime companion, Doris Richards, friends, and family.
Richard Lee Ralston, Sr., 80, Sebastian
Richard “Dick” Lee Ralston, Sr., 80, of Sebastian, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
He is survived by his spouse of 52 years, Janet; sons Richard, Jr. (Susan), and Ronald (Marcy); and daughter, Lee Ann (James).
He was preceded in death by his sons, Russell and Rick Hart.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Nancy L. Warrick, 90, Sebastian
Nancy L. Warrick, 90, of Sebastian, passed away on July 9, 2018, at Solaris Senior Living in Vero Beach, after a long and happy life. She was born in Greensboro, N.C., and lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for many years before moving to Sebastian.
Nancy loved gardening, sewing and dancing. She spent many hours tending to her yard and garden. She loved butterflies and bunnies.
Nancy never stopped dancing earning her the nickname “Dancing Nancy” from the nurses at Solaris. She brought joy to so many people with her sense of fun. Nancy was an independent, feisty woman who insisted, “I can do it myself,” when asked if she needed help.
Nancy loved her family of many brothers and sisters, four children and seven grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her loving second husband, James “Dickie” Warrick; two daughters, Beverly Peterson and Nancy Diane Russell; and seven grandchildren, Lisa Peterson, Mark Peterson, Doug Jessell, Robert Jessell, Michelle Jessell, Jason Rhodes and Allison Vickory.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Vickory; daughter, Susan Rosario; and son, Tyler Vickory.
Nancy was a member of Sebastian United Methodist Church of Sebastian.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center, 1506 Lake Highland Drive, Orlando, FL 32803 in memory of Nancy Lucille Warrick.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, at Sebastian United Methodist Church with Reverend Will Finnin, officiating.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian.
