Deputies searching for missing, endangered man

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The search is on for a 24-year-old man considered endangered who was last seen Sunday night with a large cut on his leg, authorities said.

Deputies said Nicholas Nassan, of the 1800 block of 40th Avenue, was last seen about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of 10th Court.

Nassan had a large uncontrolled laceration to his upper thigh, deputies said. Deputies spoke with a woman who filed the missing persons report.

She said Nassan drove off westbound in vehicle on 4th Street. Deputies searched Nassan’s home, but were unable to find him.

Deputies spotted Nassan’s black PT Cruiser, unattended, about 6:30 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of 25th Avenue, a missing persons report shows. There was no blood inside the sports utility vehicle that would suggest a life-threatening injury, deputies said.

Anyone who sees Nassan or knows his whereabouts should contact the Sheriff’s public safety dispatch at 772-978-6240.

No further information was immediately available.
