1 person ejected after crash near Fellsmere; lanes reopen at I-95 SB

FELLSMERE — One person was ejected after a two-vehicle crash that closed lanes on southbound Interstate 95 for a couple hours, authorities said.

Fellsmere police, Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene about 4:30 p.m. Monday on I-95 at County Road 512, troopers said. The crash closed southbound lanes on I-95 and left one of the vehicles mangled.

All lanes reopened by 6 p.m., police Chief Keith Touchberry said.

One person was flown to a hospital, FHP spokesman Alvaro Feola said. Further details on the crash were not immediately available.
