Haiti Partners makes annual list of Freedom Centered Work Places

VERO BEACH — Haiti Partners, a Vero Beach based nonprofit organization and its flagship school, Children’s Academy and Learning Center (ADECA) in Haiti, were named two of 20 organizations to be certified by WorldBlu List of Freedom-Centered Workplaces.

“In 12 years, WorldBlu has certified 160 organizations impacting over one million employees worldwide with this highest honor” said Traci Fenton, World Blu’s Founder and CEO. The announcement was made on April 10th, Freedom at Work Day.

“People do their best work when they’re invested in it,” said Haiti Partners co-founder John Engel. “Practicing freedom at work creates conditions for engagement and investment. People are more likely to become their best selves when they find meaning in their work and engagement is key to this.”

This is the ninth WorldBlu award for Haiti Partners and the third for ADECA. They join the ranks with The WD-40 Company, Beyond Borders, Zappos, and other select companies and nonprofit organizations who engage in Freedom Centered Workplace practices.

Organizations are eligible for certification after employees complete a rigorous assessment that evaluates their practice of organizational democracy at an individual, leadership, and systems and processes level.

Haiti Partners is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help Haitians change Haiti through Education. Its Children’s Academy and Learning Center, along with six partner’s schools provides quality education for approximately 1,200 students each year in Haiti.
