McKee Botanical Garden celebrates with $1 days through May 6

VERO BEACH — McKee Botanical Garden is celebrating spring with a special admission fee of only $1 now through Sunday, May 6. Visitors can take advantage of this special promotion Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.  The last admission ticket will be sold at 3:30 p.m. each of these days.

Due to popular demand, the Garden has decided to extend the It’s A Jungle Out There! Exhibition through the end of summer.

“Over 45,000 visitors have come to the Garden to admire this amazing exhibit and we wanted the rest of our community to have that same opportunity before it is gone,” stated Executive Director Christine Hobart.

This impressive collection features 24 beautiful African sculptures handcrafted specifically for McKee by Wildlife Garden Creations. These realistic life-size sculptures were created with the utmost attention to detail. The collection includes a 14 and 16 ft. giraffe, an 8 ft. male and 6 ft. female adult elephant and two  2 ½ ft. baby elephants, a full-sized hippopotamus and rhinoceros, two  5 ½ ft. gorillas, as well as a life-sized lion and lioness, a zebra, two large and two small crocodiles,  a pair owls, cranes, peacocks plus an eagle.
