Deputies responded to thefts about 1 p.m. Tuesday at several Walgreens stores, located at 850 43rd Avenue Southwest, 5755 20th Street and 5285 U.S. 1.

Managers from three stores told deputies two women stole several items, including cigarettes, tobacco products and several liquor bottles, an arrest report shows. The stolen items are worth a total of $1,371.

One of the managers told deputies the women stole from several local Walgreens stores in the past. The manager sent an email with the womens’ pictures to all local stores. She advised the companies to be on the look out for the suspects.

Deputies in the latest incident went to another Walgreens in the 1700 block of U.S. 1 and saw a white Mercedes in a parking spot. The vehicle matched the description of the suspects’ vehicle, authorities said.

Deputies saw a bag containing several liquor bottles on the backseat. They searched the store for the two women, but couldn’t find them.

A tip led deputies to a gas station across the street. Patrons told deputies the two women just hopped into a small car with a male driver and then traveled south on U.S. 1.

Deputies stopped the vehicle near 15th Place and saw the the women, later identified as Cooper and Lynn, in the backseat, an arrest report shows. They detained the pair and spoke with the Uber driver, who said he went to the gas station for a pickup.

Cooper and Lynn were arrested and taken to the county jail for booking.
