Betty Jean Sands, 76, Vero Beach
Betty Jean Sands, 76, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 30, 2018, with her family by her side. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Milton J. and Rita Gessner on April 1, 1941.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. Sands; her sister, Cindy O’Callaghan; and two nephews, Ryan O’Callaghan and Sean O’Callaghan.

Raymond W. Sidletski, 91, Vero Beach
Raymond W. Sidletski, 91, passed away March 30, 2018, at Brookdale Vero Beach. Raymond was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Lyndhurst, N.J.
He was a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Aviation Cadet Program and commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant with Pilot wings. He instructed flight training in single and dual engine aircraft. Raymond flew 55 combat missions over North Korea for which he was awarded the Air Medal with Cluster plus the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Upon return to the states he was upgraded to jet aircraft and flew in all weather Interceptors at times past Mach 1. He later joined Eastern Airlines and flew various aircraft for 30 years ending up as an A300 Captain.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Marge; and one son, John.
He leaves behind three daughters Sandra, Cynthia and Suzanne.
