Lisa Kelly, JB Scott perform at Vero Heritage Center March 17

VERO BEACH — First performing together at the 1997 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, vocalist Lisa Kelly and trumpeter JB Scott have enjoyed a long and successful musical partnership. The Lisa Kelly and JB Scott Sextet (KellyScottMusic.com) features six musicians who have played across the country and around the world.

They will perform with Dave Steinmeyer on Saturday March 17 at 12:30 p.m. following a lunch at 11:30. The performance will be at the Vero Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave., Vero Beach.

Kelly and Scott’s numerous performances have included the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Festival Vien Jazz Festival in Austria, North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, Monterey Jazz Festival in California and numerous other international and national venues.

As highly respected musical artists, clinicians and mentoring teachers, eight-time Downbeat Magazine (voice, composing, arranging) award winner Lisa Kelly and former Director of the Dukes of Dixieland JB Scott have enjoyed great success on the jazz scene.

The Treasure Coast Jazz Society was founded in 1986 by Ash Andon, Harry Buck and Chubby Jackson. We are a non-profit organization formed to encourage the performance, promotion and preservation of JAZZ — this unique American art form. Jazz has been recognized by the United States Congress as a “National Treasure.”
