‘Successful Aging’ lunch with Gail Sheehy March 23

VERO BEACH – The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County brings internationally-celebrated and award-winning author and journalist Gail Sheehy to Vero Beach to kick off its first annual “Successful Aging” Luncheon.

The event will take place at Oak Harbor Club, 4755 S. Harbor Drive at 12 Noon on Friday, March 23.

Gail Sheehy, author of the iconic book “Passages,” and also “Passages in Caregiving: Turning Chaos into Confidence,” is known for her insightful lectures and sensitive observations about life and aging well. World-renowned author of 17 books, she has changed the way women and men around the world look at various stages of their lives.

“Passages” was named one of the 10 most influential books of our times by the Library of Congress.

“We are delighted to welcome Gail Sheehy to Vero Beach to help launch the first in a series of springtime luncheons featuring cultural icons who focus on wellness and living a great quality of life,” said Judith Lemoncelli, Director of Development & Communications. “Ms. Sheehy exemplifies the grit and courage it takes to tackle life’s most demanding challenges. With empathy and intelligence, she shares with her audiences the same compassion she brought to her award-winning career as a journalist.”

Ticket are $100 per person or $1,200 for a reserved table of 10 with priority seating. Ms. Sheehy will do a book signing immediately after the luncheon.
