Main Street Vero features Artists in Residence

VERO BEACH — Main Street Vero Beach has artists in residence in keeping with the arts district in the historic downtown Vero Beach area. These artists are there working every day and add excitement to the office.  Barbara Sharp has been a resident artist for the last two years with her Florida style artwork, Claire Brunetti joined the space last summer and is working jeweler and new to the space is Megan McCook.

Megan has been a hardworking artist her entire life and somehow managed to raise three beautiful, talented sons.  She started her career creating ‘hippy’ clothes in Key West then onto leatherworking in Guatemala to signmaker in Vero Beach to a gallery owner on Chincoteague Island, Va., with a lot of stops and starts along the way.

She realized at the age of 50 that she probably had attention deficit disorder but was grateful it went undetected for all these years! She has done something right because all her sons still love her.

Stop by any Tuesday-Saturday to see one of the artist working and be able to see all of the artists work including the artist of the month.

The office is located at 2036 14th Ave. in the heart of downtown. www.mainstreetverobeach.org, facebook.com/mainstreetverobeach, 772-643-6782, info@mainstreetverobeach.org.
