2018 Rotary Homestay begins Jan. 6

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – The 2018 Rotary Homestay, when visiting Rotarians, on their way to the Annual International Assembly in San Diego, stay in local Rotarians homes, is Jan. 6-11. Oceanside, Sebastian, Sunrise and the Vero Beach Clubs are hosting seven District Governors Elect from South Africa, and two from Norway, the United Kingdom, Midden-Nederland, Sweden and Brazil.

The schedule includes:

  •  Sunday tour of John Schumann’s Autos, then  the “Get acquainted BBQ” at Bethel Creek House;
  • Monday lunch at Marsh Landing followed by an airboat ride then dinner with Rotarians;
  • Tuesday lunch at MoBay Grill and an interactive meeting with the Sebastian Interact Club;
  • Wednesday Sunrise meeting followed by either a tour at the Navy Seal Museum or at Harbor Branch, then a picnic lunch in Humiston Park near the Rotary Peace Pole with the Oceanside Club Cocktail Party at Walking Tree Brewery that evening;
  • Thursday choice of Rotary Means Business meeting or Citrus Elementary’s Vocational activity, then there is the Vero Beach Rotary Club luncheon at the Yacht Club for a club banner exchange followed by the trip back to the Orlando airport.
