Elizabeth Reddie, 71, Vero Beach

Elizabeth “Liz” Reddie 71, of Vero Beach, died unexpectedly Dec. 8, 2017. She was born to the late Ashton and Virginia Moten on Jan. 16, 1946, in Winchester, Va.

Elizabeth graduated Frederick Douglas High School. She later attended Howard University in Washington, D.C.

She moved to Vero Beach from Winchester in the early 1970s. She worked for many years in the hotel industry, from which she later retired.

After retirement she enjoyed life by relaxing at home and taking her weekly trips to her favorite stores, Publix and Walmart.

Elizabeth was married to Barris Reddie on March 23, 1987. They were married 30 wonderful years.

She enjoyed reading, watching every episode of CSI, and spending time with her grandkids and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon on Dec. 22 at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.

Elder Vernon Reason, of Hallowed Bread Community Church, will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon Dec. 22 at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.

Burial will follow the funeral at Crestlawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. with a repast immediately following at Florida Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave., Vero Beach.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Barris Reddie; brother, Ronnie; sons, Julian, James (Lavonia); and daughter, Regina (Adetayo); and loving grandchildren, Jameka, Johnkeith, Gabrielle, Jamari, Jasmine and Jada.
