Mckee brightens up holidays with annual Holidays at Mckee, Nights of Lights Celebration

VERO BEACH –  Enjoy nature’s gifts this holiday season as the Garden’s majestic palms and pathways are adorned with thousands of brilliant lights, festive holiday decorations and luminescent lanterns, during the annual Holidays at McKee.

The Garden is open to the public through Saturday, Dec. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.  The tradition continues at McKee with the 1924 Wurlitzer vintage band organ, model train and holiday village display, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Garden Gift & Book Shop will offer a variety of gifts available for purchase and the Garden Café will feature a special holiday menu.

There will be special performances by the Imagine School at South Vero Tangerines, the First United Methodist Church Handbell Ensemble, Tania Ortega-Cowan and the Tania Tunes Carolers, and McKee Volunteer Claudia Ball.

During Nights of Lights, what better way to welcome in the new year than in the peaceful and harmonious surroundings of McKee on Thursday, Dec. 28, through Saturday, Dec. 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Delight in the illuminated waterfalls and streams, surround yourself with the sights and sounds of nature as you stroll the pathways trimmed with thousands of shimmering lights and elaborate lantern displays.

Enjoy a last chance to see the 1924 Wurlitzer band organ and model train display.

New this year, experience the Garden in a whole new light as East Coast Encore Lighting brightens up these events with professional, multi-faceted LED lighting.  It is sure to be illuminating!

General admission rates apply to all of these events:  $12 Adults, $11 Seniors, and $8 Children ages 3-12. McKee members and children under 3 free.

The Garden will close at its regularly scheduled time of 5 p.m. and will reopen at 6 p.m. for the evening events.  Advance tickets are available at the Garden Gift Shop during regular business hours.
