INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Woodfield Community, behind the Indian River Mall, has been generous in helping those in need. One of their special initiatives has been to support the Marines and Toys for Tots for the last 11 years.
The community learned that among the most treasured gifts children in the community receive are bikes and helmets. Woodfield has donated over a hundred bikes in the last couple of years and is well on the way again this year.
Over $2,500 has been collected so far which will result in at least 40 children getting bikes and helmets this holiday.
The new bikes and helmets are in the Clubhouse Lobby awaiting pick up by the Marines on Dec. 16.
