Showers expected Thanksgiving Day

Storms expected for the weekend

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Residents might want to keep their Thanksgiving activities indoors.

Showers are expected throughout the week, including Thanksgiving Day, according to weather meteorologists. A 70 percent chance of rain is expected Tuesday with a high temperature near 78 degrees.

The day will be mostly cloudy with east winds about 10 mph. Tuesday night will see a 30 percent chance of rain.

For Wednesday, a slight chance of rain is expected during the day. But for the evening, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, forecasters said. The high temperature will be near 79 degrees with 5 to 10 mph east northeast winds.

On Thanksgiving Day, there’s a 60 percent chance of showers expected with a possible thunderstorm. The day will have a high temperature near 77 degrees and 5 mph south winds. A 40 percent chance of showers is expected that evening.

There’s a 50 percent chance of showers Friday with a high temperature near 76 degrees, according to weather experts. Northeast winds will be 5 to 10 mph; a 40 percent chance of showers is expected that evening.
