Shoppers encouraged to spend local this holiday season

VERO BEACH – As a small business, it’s tough to compete with bigger companies. Small Business Saturday is important to a downtown to keep profits local. By shopping local, you support family owned businesses and increase the community tax base.

Vero Beach’s downtown is a reflection of the community’s image, pride and prosperity. Downtown Vero Beach represents a huge public and private investment and employs hundreds of people. This is the “Historic Core” of the community.

On Saturday, Nov. 25, shops will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with whole store discounted sale items. In addition, dine small at one of the local restaurants during the event, or shop and stay for the evening and dine along 14th Avenue at some of the hottest local eateries.
