Debbie Lynn Moseley Cobb, 45, formerly Vero Beach

Debbie Lynn Moseley Cobb, 45, died Nov. 7, 2017, in Forest City, N.C. She was born June 30, 1972. Debbie was born in Vero Beach, and moved to North Carolina approximately 18 months ago. She graduated with honors from Vero Beach High School.

Survivors include her mother, Patti Abel; children, Lindsey Moseley (Ryan Basaincon) and their soon to be born baby boy, Marshall, Keegan Adams and Kelsey Cobb; brother, Jamie Abel (Ginnifer); sister, Tina Vanbuskirk (Todd Cusick); step siblings, Sandy, Bonnie, Brent, Shauna and Erik; nephew, Riley; nieces, Kaula and Reagan; cousins, Bobby, Josh, Matthew and Kristopher and friends, Kelly Stager, Julie, Linda, Heather, Danielle, Kyle; and too many other wonderful friends to mention.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Ronnie Carroll, Jr.; and her grandmother, Dorothy, of Leicester, England.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Vero Beach Humane Society or to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Debbie Lynn Moseley Cobb.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Monday Nov. 20 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.

Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce.

 

Travis James Lucas, 35, Vero Beach

Travis James Lucas, 35, of Vero Beach, passed away in his home, with his mother by his side, on Nov. 11, 2017. Travis was born in Bridgeport, Conn., to Judith Robinson Lucas and the late William G. Lucas on Dec. 26, 1981.

He attended St. Theresa’s Grammar School and graduated from Seymour High School.

Travis worked many construction jobs in Vero Beach and was a friend to all he met. As a youth, he was very active in organized sports, excelling in baseball and basketball. He also loved being active in his church, Golden Hill Methodist Church in Bridgeport.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Robinson Lucas, of Vero Beach; and his brother, Jason Lucas of Bridgeport; as well as his adored Aunt, of Summerfield, Fla.

Travis will be missed by his family, which includes several uncles and aunts in Florida, Connecticut, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and California; and his many beloved cousins all residing in Connecticut

The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses and medical staff at IRMC, Lawnwood, Brooks Rehabilitation, and Carter Health Care for their kind and loving care over the last few years.

In lieu of flowers, Travis wanted any donations to be made to The Source in Vero Beach.
