City of Vero prepares of Centennial, seeks photographers

VERO BEACH – Mayor Laura Moss, Vice Mayor Harry Howle, Councilman Dick Winger and Councilman Lange Sykes have collectively appointed fellow Councilman Tony Young and City Clerk Tammy Bursick to co-chair the City of Vero Beach Centennial Committee.

This enormous endeavor has already been in preparation mode for a number of months, planning multiple activities that will be presented monthly for one year, starting in October of 2018 through to and including October 2019, the actual celebration month of the incorporation of the City of Vero Beach.

“This is the City’s opportunity to share our history, accomplishments and local talent in a very memorable fashion,” said City Clerk Bursick.

Councilman Young agrees.

“We have reached out to many people and organizations in the community who are actively working on organizing special recognitions and remembrances of our history, ancestors, city landmarks, special events, and other exciting features that every member of our fair City, no matter their age, will be able to come, explore and discover,” he said.

The City is actively reaching out to the community looking for local photographers willing to offer their time and expertise to take photos during the current planning stages as well as during the celebration year. Those photographers interested in participating in this capacity on a pro-bono basis should email Tammy Bursick at tbursick@covb.org or publicist Beverly Paris at parisproductionsvero@gmail.com.
