Woman medevacked after two-car crash on 58th Ave.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A woman was taken to a trauma center after a serious two-car crash Sunday, according to the Indian River County Fire Rescue and Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 6900 block of 58th Avenue, Assistant Fire Chief Brian Burkeen said. The crash was south of the Sandrige Golf Club and west of U.S. 1.

The woman was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce, said Burkeen and Sheriff’s spokesman Thom Raulen. Her condition was not available.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash. No further information was immediately available.
