Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach helps Crime Stoppers

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers received help from the Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach club recently. With funds donated by the club, Crime Stoppers was able to provide Crime Stopper wraps for 18 garbage cans that will be placed in various middle schools.

The garbage cans will be in the cafeterias at Oslo and Gifford Middle Schools and the Gifford Alternative School.

These wraps are designed to get the attention of kids who might not know of the Crime Stoppers program. They can easily call a tip in without being identified and help to stop a crime in their school.

Crime Stoppers started this past year with a test project funded by Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach at the Vero Beach High School. Funding for additional schools is needed.
